Merry Christmas again, I have had a very full and lovely day... One of the presents I got was from my lovely brother and his lady which was 'The Indie Rock Poster Book' by the Yellow Bird Project (it's an awesome book where all the royalties goes to charity so if you fancy a copy it's well worth it with its support, music and tear out-able posters) which was full of a lot of bands and songs I know but some I didn't so I've decided to look some up and this was one of them, lovely track... Now... Time for some Buffy!!

Imogen Heap was introduced to me by an old friend from home, many years ago. She is quite a well known name but I thought her newest project is super interesting. Her idea for the record is that she creates, writes, records, mixes, masters, releases and films a video for each track over a two week period every three months. Whilst keeping updated with her community online as she creates each song, with their help through sending in sounds, recordings, images and video clips. I show to you the first four Heapsongs and the creative inspiration this lady is.

No video by definitely listen to this with headphones or in an indestructable house with the biggest sound system you can find in the middle of the country side as not to bother your neighbours... If you don't have access to that go with the headphones.

Me and Mikee got to see these guys perform last year as they opened for Interpol, I completely forgot about them for a while until yesterday when I loaded my old Itunes library onto my computer at work and came across them and remembered how much I freaking love this song.

Wow, today it will reach a crazy time of 11:11:11 on 11.11.11 :| crrraazy thoughts. Best make a wish as well while you're remembering the people who fought in the war as you wear your poppy.
Anyway, as it's friday I thought a little dancing was in order, I really want to learn these moves and copy the dancing on a mountain in spandex to a T, my housemate Aaron will be lucky enough to accompany me on our dancing swarree(sp?). Maybe that'll be my wish, what will be yours?

We had this guy follow us on twitter recently and I actually really like it, reminds me of The Shins slightly but it's got a few more elements to it.
Plus his video for 'Part of the Show' has a spaniel in it and I'm a sucker for dogs. Deffo Check it out.

So I'm feeling a bit ill and so am not at work today :( ... My lovely colleague Paola introduced me to this band a few months ago when I first started and it's absolutely brilliant music. The also had an interactive element when they released the album, as the released a film at the same time and if you wanted to watch the film, you had to organize viewings in your area, so other fans could come around and watch the film with you and you would meet new people who liked similar music to you. Such a nice idea. Anyway lets get on with the show and make myself feel better. The top comment on the youtube link is fantastic as well.

As some of you may know I went to Goldsmiths, this means I listened to lots of new music. One guy I knew at Goldsmiths did a cover of a song called "Limit To Your Love". Another guy did this, one man band, loop pedals and flutes. Yes, the silver tube with lots of buttons and keys? That's the one. He's gigging tomorrow ON A BOAT ON THE THAMES. He's amazing. MORE awesome music from goldsmiths to come tomorrow. Incidentally Cloudboat are half Goldsmithian OH what a wonderful uni it is.

Not new at all, in fact the video is nearly half a year old but I only just saw it today and it's my favourite band, how bad is that. But as it's fireworks night tomorrow this seemed rather apt, and hey, it's Bright Eyes, always a space for them in any day. So here we have...

In honor of my Finnish heritage I'm going to post a Rubik song today. Discovered last year when I went on a 'I want to find some good Finnish music' rampage... My good friend Christina and I we delighted by their song Wasteland, but I'm going to show a different one today. If they ever get to come to the UK on tour they can deffo be seeing me there. The Album artwork is pretty lovely too, love the nostalgia of it.

Happy November! So my song today I would advise either listening to loud or through headphones. The bass and drums combo are amazing. I found out Phantogram (who are awesome) have a new EP out today, which was streaming on Spinner... and I discovered this over there. The rest of the album 'Touch the sound' is also pretty snazzy, this song stood out in particular though.

Happy Halloween! From the Bella Union family I have a freaky video with some weird projected faces at the beginning for you but an awesome song that has been in my head for a few days now. Deffo worth a listen to. Got a bit of a 70s vibe to it and I'm loving the album artwork (below the video), although it's fairly similar to the Horrors Skyling album. Enjoy.
